Trapped miner

A frame grab shows Victor Segovia, one of the 33 miners trapped underground in a copper and gold mine at Copiapo, about 725 km (450 miles) north of Santiago. Already deprived of sunlight, fresh air and their loved ones for 27 days, NASA doctors say 33 miners trapped deep in a Chilean mine must continue to forgo two other pleasures: alcohol and cigarettes. Rescuers say it will take three to four months for a 30-ton hydraulic drill to chew through the rock to where the miners were holding out.
