Jon Lester, Josh Beckett (above) and Clay Buchholz were supposed to be the next Big Three in Boston, but Beckett's 4.44 ERA is the best of the bunch. Last year, the excuse was fried chicken and beer. Now, much of the blame is being pointed to Bobby Valentine. But it comes down to pitching, and the starters simply haven't gotten it done.
