7. 'Fat Pig' and 'reasons to be pretty'

MICA's spring plays, both directed by longtime faculty member Christopher Shipley and written by Neil LaBute, deal with interpretations of beauty, body image and contemporary human relationships. A strong shout-out here to the students of Rivals of the West Theatre Company, who not only act but do the lighting, sound and every other single theater-y thing. "Fat Pig": Thursday through April 15: "reasons ...": Friday through April 14. BBOX, 1601 Mount Royal Ave., Mount Royal. $10-$15.
