Serving the guest

Guest of the "Supper Club," Jennifer St. Germain, was served by the detainees participating in the program. The "Supper Club," is a fairly new program in the Mayor's office that helps young people in juvenile detention sit down for dinner with adult volunteers on a regular basis. The idea is that these kids are often from fragmented homes, and the ritual nature of a nightly meal with "family" can help stabilize a young person's life. The meals are held within various juvenile justice facilities throughout Baltimore.
