( Chiaki Kawajiri, Special to The Baltimore Sun / March 10, 2013 ) Dr. Tuvia Blechman, director of Howard County General Hospitals NICU for 22 years, right, greets his former patient, Naomi Burley, front center. Naomi's mom Jeronda Burley, on left, wanted to show how big Naomi has grown to Dr. Blechman. When Naomi was born, she weighed less than one pound and was about the same size as an adult's finger tip. Naomi stayed at Howard County General Hospitals NICU for 1 month, then Johns Hopkins Hospital for 4 months, and Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital for 1 month. |
