Stacey Rubin, center, wanted to get an Oyster mushroom fritter at the Mushroom Stand in celebration of her birthday tomorrow when she'll turn 51. The fritter is made with blue oyster mushrooms dipped in beer batter and fried in peanut oil, served with mixed greens and topped with hot sauce and feta cheese for $9.
