Samuel T. Durrance, of Lutherville (top). The Florida native and <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="OREDU0000116" title="Johns Hopkins University" href="/topic/education/colleges-universities/johns-hopkins-university-OREDU0000116.topic">Johns Hopkins University</a> astrogeophysicist flew two science missions aboard Columbia in 1990 and Endeavour in 1995. He was a payload specialist, assigned to the Hopkins Astro 1 and 2 ultraviolet observatory missions.<br>

An Ohio native, he was astronomer and senior scientist at <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="ORCRP003749" title="Computer Sciences Corporation" href="/topic/business/computer-sciences-corporation-ORCRP003749.topic">Computer Sciences Corp.</a> He flew with Durrance on Columbia as a payload specialist on the 1990 Astro 1 mission.
