One of the greatest players ever to appear in a <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="ORSPT000188" title="Maryland Terrapins" href="/topic/sports/college-sports/maryland-terrapins-ORSPT000188.topic">Maryland Terrapins</a> basketball uniform died of a cocaine-related heart episode just two days after the Boston Celtics made him the second overall pick in the 1986 <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="EVSPR000072" title="NBA Draft" href="/topic/sports/basketball/nba-draft-EVSPR000072.topic">NBA draft</a>.
