His availability is somewhat contingent on whether the Nationals re-sign LaRoche. If they do, Morse is the odd man out in Washington. He has one year left on his contract -- worth a manageable $6.75 million -- and would be a good fit to replace Reynolds with his right-handed power bat and ability to play outfield and first. The Nationals would be seeking young pitching for him, and the Orioles have a surplus of that. The Orioles are interested, but they are not the only ones.
