If you want to beat on umpire Jeff Nelson some more, you can make the case that the Orioles would be in first place in the AL East right now if he had made the right call on a third strike in Saturday's one-run loss, but that's just unnecessary nit-picking. The Orioles went 5-2 against the Angels and first-place Red Sox and are probably kicking themselves that it wasn't a clean sweep, since they held leads in the two losses. Nobody's perfect. Mission accomplished.
