Evelyn Pyles

Through an interpreter, Evelyn Pyles, 79, said she was horrified to watch her son Stephen Pyles being forced down to the floor of their home by an <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="PLGEO100100602000000" title="Anne Arundel County" href="/topic/us/maryland/anne-arundel-county-PLGEO100100602000000.topic">Anne Arundel County</a> police officer. She tried to tell the officer that her son was recovering from neck surgery, but she wondered if he mistook her gesturing since he didn't seem to realize they are both deaf. The home which she shares with her son was burglarized April 16, 2008.
