Girls Athlete of the Week (March 4, 2014): Qierra Murray, Milford Mill, basketball

The senior scored 23 points to lead the No. 4 Millers (21-1) to their third straight Baltimore County championship with a 55-43 win over No. 9 Catonsville last week. Murray, a 5-foot-9 combo guard, also had three assists and a steal. She has averaged 17.4 points, 4.8 assists and 2.8 steals per game this season. Murray, who has a 3.7 GPA and plans to become a doctor, has signed with George Mason.
