News item: The Maryland men's basketball team showed a lot of heart in Wednesday night's double-overtime loss at Miami and new coach Mark Turgeon showed a lot of fire when he got ejected from the game for arguing a call.

Schmuck's take: That might have been a big win if the Terps had worked for higher-percentage shots at the end of regulation and the first overtime, but let¿s not nitpick. This team seems to grow up a little in every game.

Bonus take: It'll be fun to see what they can do against North Carolina on Saturday at Comcast, but don't get your hopes up.
