Week 7 : Houston Texans 43, Ravens 13

What happened: In a showdown between the only two leading teams in the AFC, the Texans overwhelmed the Ravens in every way. After an early Ravens field goal, the Texans rattled off 29 consecutive points to end the first half. Quarterback Matt Schaub threw for two touchdowns and Arian Foster (pictured) ran for two against a beleaguered Ravens defense. Flacco, meanwhile, got nothing going in one of the worst performances of his career.

Star of the game: You can take your pick from a variety of Texans, from Schaub to Foster to Andre Johnson. Even in a losing effort, Suggs deserves mention as well. He was the best Raven on the field and his one-sack, four-tackle performance capped a remarkable 5 1/2 month recovery from a torn Achilles.

Turning point: The most appropriate answer probably was when the Ravens got off the bus. However, short of that, Texans cornerback Johnathan Joseph stepped in front of Torrey Smith and intercepted a Flacco pass that was deflected by J.J. Watt, returning it 52 yards for a touchdown. That made the score 16-3 and the rout was on.

Key stats: Flacco was just 7-for-20 and had a 4.2 quarterback rating in the first half. He averaged only 2.6 yards per completion. The Ravens were out-gained 420-176. They also lost the time of possession battle, 38:16 to 21:44. The Ravens went 4-for-16 on third and fourth down.

Quote: "There's no sugarcoating it. Call a spade a spade. They whooped our [butt]," Suggs said.
