A lot of people in Baltimore feel a little smug this week, chuckling at the way the Jets totally imploded this year, which seems to have finally ended any debate over who the Ravens should have hired, Harbaugh or Rex Ryan. Keep in mind, though, how fortunate the Ravens really were, since they actually offered the job to Jason Garrett first. Harbaugh hasn't been perfect in Baltimore (the Ravens had some bad losses this year, and you could argue he's loyal to a fault when it comes to his assistants), but I'm not sure he gets enough credit for how much better the Ravens organization is run now that it was under Brian Billick. Baltimore is more consistent, more professional, and more disciplined. The Ravens haven't made it to a Super Bowl yet under Harbaugh, but Harbaugh is the only coach in the league who has won a road playoff game each of the last four years. Every other coach ahead of him on this list has an elite quarterback to bail him out of trouble. This might be his year to take the next step.
