Season in review: The Ravens hoped Kruger could become an every-down player after Jarret Johnson left in free agency, but he struggled against the run early in the season. After Terrell Suggs returned from a torn triceps in Week 7, the Ravens unleashed Kruger as a situational pass rusher. He recorded 7.5 sacks in his final eight games and added another 4.5 in the playoffs, including two in the Super Bowl win.
Signature moment: He had several impressive games down the stretch, but he did the most damage in the wild-card win over the Indianapolis Colts. He sacked Andrew Luck 2.5 times and forced a critical fumble.
Stat that stands out: eight -- career sacks, including playoffs, for Kruger before he recorded 13.5 in 2012.
Pro Football Focus grade: +10.4 overall | -4.2 against the run | +15.7 as a pass rusher | 0.0 in pass coverage.
Outlook for 2013 and beyond: Kruger stands to cash in after terrorizing quarterbacks in a contract year. The Ravens would like him back, but he is likely to sign a lucrative contract elsewhere in free agency.
Update: Kruger agreed to terms on a five-year $41 million contract with the Cleveland Browns on March. 12.
