Davis proved he could hit last year -- his 33 homers and 85 RBIs led the Orioles in 2012. Now can he be the starting first baseman? The Orioles hope so. He came from the Texas Rangers with the reputation as being an above-average glove at first base. But he struggled there from the on-set last season, looking slow and hesitant, and Mark Reynolds was finally moved to first after Manny Machado was called up to anchor third base.
