Teams that don't garner a league AQ are thrown into a pool for the eight at-large selections. The Atlantic Coast Conference doesn't have enough teams — for now — to award an automatic qualifier in men's lacrosse, but its four members are usually in the running for an at-large berth. This season, North Carolina, Duke and Maryland have solid at-large resumes. Johns Hopkins is an independent whose only road to the big dance is through an at-large selection. The Blue Jays sit at No. 16 in the RPI and must run the table with wins over Navy, Loyola and Army to get NCAA tournament consideration.
