Love played a significant role as the Statesmen collected just their third win in 27 years against Syracuse with a 13-12 upset of the No. 5 Orange on Tuesday night at the Carrier Dome. The 6-foot, 175-pound attackman recorded a career-high seven points on six goals and one assist, and his final tally, with 2:13 left in the fourth quarter, was the game-winner. Love raised his season total in goals to 42, which is the program's Division I record. (The school moved to Division I in 1995.) He also has 50 points, joining current assistant coach Mark Williamson as the only players in the program's D-I history to reach that mark. Love is the only player in Division I with more than 40 goals this season.
