2006: Barbaro at the Preakness

As it turned out, it was the perfect view as <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="PESPT008264" title="Barbaro" href="/topic/sports/barbaro-PESPT008264.topic">Barbaro</a> pulled up lame in front of the <a class="taxInlineTagLink" id="PLGEO100100603012700" title="Pimlico" href="/topic/us/maryland/baltimore-county/baltimore/pimlico-PLGEO100100603012700.topic">Pimlico</a> Grandstands, holding up his rear leg which had been fractured. Despite many attempts by the owner to save the horse, he eventually was euthanized in 2007.$

Despite many attempts by the owner to save the horse, he eventually was euthanized in 2007.
