Loyola NCAA men's lacrosse championship trophy

Baltimore is the nation's lacrosse hotbed, annually sending scores of high school stars to the country's biggest lacrosse programs. Perennial powerhouse Johns Hopkins is home to the sports Hall of Fame. And when a local team doesn't win the national championship -- as Hopkins has done nine times -- things just don't seem right. That's why there was much rejoicing when, after four seasons away, the Division 1 men's lacrosse trophy returned to Baltimore in 2012, thanks to Loyola's mighty Greyhounds.
