The table setting: Casual elegance
The look: Tony Foreman, the co-owner of upscale restaurants such as Pazo, Charleston and Petit Louis, went for an eclectic approach for his casual table setting. "It's all beautiful things that I love," he said. "I chose this because I thought it was beautiful." Foreman said that it is nice to have a rich neutral background that reflects the season.
The menu: Olive oil, bread, wine, seasonal fruit, antipasto, one warm dish ó possibly a hearty pasta, or simple roasted peas and beef.
Where to get it: The large plate is from a Williams-Sonoma after-Christmas sale; the floral plate is an Old English heirloom that belonged to Foremanís grandmother. The water glass is from Finland and the wine glass is from Austria. The glass bowl is from Pottery Barn. The silverware was made the same year as Foremanís home (1905) and is from Argenterie de Turenne, a Paris-based company that specializes in antiques. He purchased the napkin in Northern Italy. As for the wine, itís Langhe Nebbiolo, Roberto Voerzio "Vigneti S. Francesco, Fontanazza" 2008.
