Glimpsed for the Baltimore Grand Prix

Indy Car champion driver Dario Franchitti (pictured), 38, scores major points both on the Baltimore Grand Prix track, and off it. When, the Tennessee resident isn't in his uniform, he says his style is "somewhat scruffy." But, the three time Indy 500 winner's "scruffiness" sure had his fans swooning at Radcliffe Jewelers in Pikesville, where he made an appearance on behalf of TW Steel, for whom he's helped design a specific line of watches. "I generally wear a T-shirt, jeans and Puma trainers [at home]," the Scottish native said. But, for the evening's gathering -- which benefited The Herman & Walter Samuelson Children's Hospital at Sinai -- Franchitti appeared comfortably chic in a Ermenegildo Zegna blue and red on white checked shirt, Diesel jeans and tan Paul Smith wingtips. Needless to say, he was wearing a TW Steel Dario Franchitti watch. Franchitti says he's a big fan of Zegna, which custom makes his suits and shirts. He says they even adjust the fit to suit his namesake timepiece, which the leftie wears on his right wrist. "They make the right cuff larger to accommodate my watch." His female fans certainly approved his laid-back look. But, some of the men there felt Franchitti should have had another accessory hanging on his arm -- his wife, movie star Ashley Judd.--Sloane Brown
