What's in Store: Wild Yam Pottery

This co-op is owned and run by four local clay artists who supply all of its inventory. All the ceramics -- in a good variety of shapes, colors and styles -- are made on the premises, in the studio in the back of shop. In fact, that's where you'll probably find the potter-on-duty. This rice bowl ($24) -- complete with chopsticks -- the small soy sauce dish ($4) and the patterned plate ($18) are all creations of Kathy Scheutz. Wild Yam Pottery is at 863 W. 36th St. Call 410-662-1123 or go to wildyampottery.com.
