Clothier Christopher Schafer knows a thing or two about fine threads. It probably has to do with spending a number of years living in London, where he learned the tricks of the trade. That experience has also helped him with his style of dress. "My style is very influenced by classic English cuts with pops of color," said the 41-year-old Perry Hall resident. "I love high-quality clothing and shoes. I'm a mix of rock and roll and British tailoring." When we caught up with Schafer at his Harbor East business, Christopher Schafer Clothier, we loved his blue pin-stripped suit with textured white gingham dress shirt and pink tie -- all made by him. His dress shoes, which were designed by Crockett & Jones, popped off of the suit. His Union Jack cuff links and Tag Heuer watch translated as suave. "The key to great style is to bring confidence with your color and pattern choices," he said. "Working with clothes that fit properly helps a lot, too. There is no better fitting clothing than that which is made for you."
