Colby Ware, special to The Baltimore Sun

Law clerk-about-to-be-sworn-in-as-attorney Ryan McConnell, 27, loves a look that's inspired by times gone by. "It's influenced by Robert Redford in 'The Sting' and 'Great Gatsby.' There's also an Irish writer that I enjoy, Robert McLiam Wilson. I like his characters. And, if you Google him and see what he's wearing, that's how I've always wanted to dress." He was living up to those idols when we "glimpsed" the Towson resident at work at the Towson law firm, Hodes, Pessin & Katz. McConnell sported a brown glen plaid vest and pleated pants from a three piece Ralph Lauren suit that he'd bought at Macy's. His brown pinstriped white dress shirt came from Nordstrom, as did his taupe plaid tie. He found his brown boots at the Johnston & Murphy store. And, then there's his ever-present accessory; the pen behind his ear. "I constantly need something to write something down. Even in my law school I.D. photo, it's there."
