Ever wonder if the person writing about fashion and beauty in a magazine is following her own advice? Well, at Girls' Life Magazine, operations manager/fashion and beauty assistant Jessica D'Argenio certainly does. We dropped by the Baltimore headquarters of the magazine and "glimpsed" the 25-year-old Charles Village resident looking as if she stepped off the pages of the magazine herself. D'Argenio was wearing a blue chambray J. Crew shirt with a green, brown and cream patterned baby corduroy pencil skirt from Anthropologie. She found all her great accessories online. The taupe split leather fringe and harness Allsaints Spitalfields ankle boots came from us.allsaints.com. Her great crocheted copper chain necklace by Sirius Lux was a purchase from etsy.com. And she found her light gray-blue River Island satchel at riverisland.com. Her diamond stud earrings were a gift. D'Argenio describes her style as "casual glam; sort of boy meets girl." Some of her fashion tricks? "I love boots. I wear them in the summer with shorts and dresses. I like boyfriend jeans and boxy blazers with girly blouses. I shop in the men's section at H&M for scarves and sweaters. And I always steal clothes from my fiance."
