Why did he leave? Running back-returner Bobby Rainey was claimed by the Cleveland Browns after the Ravens cut him before the season. Spending the early part of the 2012 season on the practice squad, he was placed on injured reserve in November.
Week 11 highlights: Rainey has found a place with the Buccaneers. He had a game-high 30 carries for 163 yards and two touchdowns in the 41-28 win over the Atlanta Falcons.
Week 10 highlights: Rainey scored his first NFL touchdown as he saw significant playing time against the Miami Dolphins on Monday night. He finished with 45 yards on eight carries.
Week 9 highlights: Rainey played but didn't register any stats in the 27-24 loss to the Seattle Seahawks.
Week 8 highlights: Rainey did not play in the 31-13 loss to the Carolina Panthers.
Week 7 highlights: The Browns released Rainey days before playing the Packers. He was claimed off of waivers by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday.
Week 6: Rainey didn't factor much into the Browns' 31-17 loss to the Detroit Lions. Rainey didn't have a return and had one carry for 0 yards.
Week 5 highlights: Rainey had two carries for 8 yards as the Browns continued their winning streak against the Buffalo Bills.
Week 4 highlights: The Browns are on a two-game winning streak, beating division rival Bengals, 17-6. Rainey had six carries for 9 yards and two receptions for 20 yards in the win.
Week 3 highlights: The Browns shocked many when they traded 2012 first-round pick Trent Richardson to the Indianapolis Colts. Some assumed Rainey would be among those to gain a few carries in Richardson's absence. He had four carries for 17 yards in the 31-27 win over the Minnesota Vikings.
Week 2 highlights: Rainey was facing his old team and had a quiet day with just two kick returns for a combined 44 yards. The longest return was for 26 yards in the loss to the Ravens.
Week 1 highlights: Rainey returned four kickoffs for the Browns in their season-opening loss to the Miami Dolphins. He gained 103 total yards, including a 33-yard return in the fourth quarter.
