Fighting breast cancer (1998)

One of Baltimore's most well-known humanitarians, Bea Gaddy, 65, held a press conference at Johns Hopkins to announce that she has breast cancer. Lacking health insurance, she did not go to the doctor even though she knew something was wrong.  She wants to inform other women about governmental programs so that they do not delay in getting help.
