During the War of 1812, Baltimore's Fort McHenry withstood a British bombardment. The victory so inspired Frederick lawyer Francis Scott Key that he wrote "The Star-Spangled Banner," which is played before professional sports games everywhere -- even in Boston. Advantage: Baltimore. True, Bunker Hill might have been something of a moral victory for the Colonies, but Fort McHenry was a victory, period. Plus, how many national anthems did Bunker Hill inspire?
