Colby Ware, For The Baltimore Sun

Tobi Thompson, 29, doesn't just earn a living in the fashion world, working at Ruth Shaw and modeling on the side. It's clear the Charles Village resident lives it, as well - on and off the job - like when she came to the Monday night Expressions fundraiser at Baltimore School for the Arts. Thompson wore a gray tweed Isabel Marant zip-front jacket over a magenta sleeveless stretch knit Robert Rodriguez sheath, with gray wool flannel Jimmy Choo pumps that featured black patent leather platforms. She added a gold Eddie Borgo spiked cuff and a vintage black Chanel bag. The only item that didn't come from Ruth Shaw was the bag, which was a gift from "a loved customer." Thompson says it's hard to pinpoint what she dubs her "sophisticated, but fun" style. "I don't think anything is unexpected from me. I go from motorcyle boots to a Chanel bag, and from lady dresses to boyfriend jeans."
