Carla Hayden wants you to know that librarians have style. The greatest compliment is when some says, 'You don't look like a librarian,' the CEO of Enoch Pratt Free Library said when we spotted her at work. The Baltimore resident added flashes of color throughout her outfit, starting with a beautiful multi-colored scarf from India that a friend gave her as a holiday present. Her green jacket -- the color is very in style -- was from Talbots. Her black dress was from J. Jill. She wore a pair of black tights from TJ Maxx and a pair of BeautiFeel shoes. They are very comfortable, she said. I do try to wear comfortable yet stylish shoes. Her earrings were from Appalachian Spring in Washington's Union Station. She's had her watch for more than a decade, purchasing it at a local Baltimore boutique. The key to great style is simplicity and ease, she said.
