Think you've got a future as a magician, acrobat, ventriloquist or plate spinner? Think you've got a talent that could be your one-way ticket to the big time?
Here comes your chance.
Representatives from NBC's "America's Got Talent" will be in Baltimore on Jan. 30, seeking contestants for its upcoming ninth season.
The variety show is looking for people of any age and any talent (we're not sure if that includes talking babies, but nobody says you can't try). The most recent winner was dancer Kenichi Ebina (he was crowned Sept. 18); the winner before that was a dog act. Clearly, whatever talent you've got, you've got a chance.
And Baltimore has a history with the show. In 2012, local magician/escape artist Spencer Horsman made it to the querterfinals before being eliminated. And in 2007, singer Julienne Irwin of Bel Air made it all way to the finals.
The Baltimore auditions for season 9 are scheduled for Jan. 30 at the Baltimore Convention Center. Registration forms can be found here.
When you make it big, just don't forget the hometown folks who rooted so hard for you.
Season 9 is slated to premiere in summer 2014. Judges Howard Stern, Mel B., Heidi Klum and Howie Mandel all recently announced that they will be returning.
