It has been a strange ride so far this season for the Orioles rotation. The starters have not been able to get deep enough into games and have not been particularly stingy in the earned run department, yet the overall results have been acceptable. The past week was just more of the same. The Orioles won both series, but the rotation averaged 5 1/3 innings per game and posted a combined 5.40 ERA. Jake Arrieta (pictured), in particular, was all over the place, winning the opener of the Rays series and reeling out of control to let a three-run lead get away on Sunday.
