Perhaps you have heard the story of Orioles pitching prospect Kevin Gausman, the donut-eating machine. Gausman developed an unlikely habit of eating powdered donuts in between innings of games he pitched in while in high school. The habit stuck and Gausman continued consuming the sweet treats throughout college and into his first major league spring training. His unusual habit lead to the nickname "Dunkin," coined in spring training by veterans Jim Johnson and Darren O'Day. Adam Jones joined in on the fun by packing the first-round pick's locker full of the confectionery treats. But alas, the 22-year-old right-hander has dropped his habit. Despite a recent demotion to Triple-A Norfolk, the young pitcher has worked his way back into the rotation and could prove important come pennant race time. In fact, some have even argued that Gausman has the potential to be just as good as the O's top prospect, Dylan Bundy.
