4. An Orioles making a run at an AL batting title

Through 77 games, the O's were one of only two teams in the MLB (the others being Detroit, Colorado and St. Louis) with two players in the top 15 in the league in batting average, with Chris Davis (.331 BA) and Manny Machado (.317 BA). Barring any kind of setback, either of these Orioles could make a run at an American League batting title. With batters like Nick Markakis, Matt Wieters and Adam Jones protecting these Baltimore stars in the lineup, there's no reason to think the dynamic duo won't see their share of hittable pitches for the remainder of the season.
