When “The Producers” first went on tour after winning 12 Tony Awards and becoming the first Broadway sensation of the 21st century, the show was such a big deal that it visited two major theaters in Connecticut (the Bushnell and the Oakdale) back to back.

Well, that’s happening again, although on a much smaller scale. The musical, adapted by Mel Brooks from his landmark 1968 film, remains a crowd pleaser. The latest tour of the wheeling-dealing show-about-a-horrible show (“Springtime for Hitler”) has two one-night-stands in the state: 7 p.m., Friday Oct. 30, at the Palace Theatre in Waterbury; and 8 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 1, at the Garde Arts Center, 325 State St., New London. Tickets are $52 to $64 at the Palace and $50 to $60 at the Garde. Information: theproducersontour.com.
