They Can Do That: “A Chorus Line,” that singular sensation from 1975, is a survival tale about those who’ve struggled for the chance to dance in a Broadway show. Songs include “Dance: Ten; Looks: Three,” “At the Ballet,” “I Hope I Get It” and, of course, “What I Did for Love.” Playhouse on Park in West Hartford says that this is the biggest show the company has yet produced. Co-directed by the Playhouse’s co-Artistic Directors Sean Harris and Darlene Zoller (shown here with the theater’s Executive Director Tracy Flater) and choreographed by Zoller, it plays June 15 through July 31. 860-523-5900, playhouseonpark.org.

RUBBERBANDance: Wesleyan University’s Center for the Arts presents the RUBBERBANDance Group from Montreal on July 21 at 8 p.m. The troupe, which blends balletic precision with hip-hop rhythms, performs the U.S. premiere of “Vic’s Mix,” a sampling of works created for RUBBERBANDance by co-Artistic Director Victor Quijada. wesleyan.edu/cfa/events.

Abraham.In.Motion: The International Festival of Arts & Ideas last hosted dancer and choreographer Kyle Abraham and his Abraham.In.Motion company in 2012, performing his semi-autobiographical Pittsburgh-based work “The Radio Show.” A year later, Abraham won a McArthur “genius” grant. Abraham continues to create lively, socially conscious dance performances. Abraham.In.Motion brings its “Live Music Program” to A&I June 14 to16. artidea.org.
