Kyle Abraham and his dance and movement troupe Abraham.In.Motion have visited Connecticut regularly over the years, mainly at Wesleyan University and New Haven’s International Festival of Arts & Ideas.
The troupe returns to Wesleyan Oct. 6 and 7 with the Connecticut premiere of “Dearest Home,” which “focuses on love, longing and loss,” is presented arena-style and offers its audience members a choice of watching in silence or listening to an audio soundscape through headphones.
Abraham’s choreography is human-centered and down-to-earth. The topics of his dances invariably involve family and community.
Performances are Friday, Oct. 6 at 8 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 7 at both 2 and 8 p.m. Tickets are $28, $26 students and seniors. 860-685-3355, wesleyan.edu.
