Abraham.In.Motion Dance Troupe Brings 'Dearest Home' To Wesleyan

Kyle Abraham and his dance and movement troupe Abraham.In.Motion have visited Connecticut regularly over the years, mainly at Wesleyan University and New Haven's International Festival of Arts & Ideas.

The troupe returns to Wesleyan Oct. 6 and 7 with the Connecticut premiere of "Dearest Home," which "focuses on love, longing and loss," is presented arena-style and offers its audience members a choice of watching in silence or listening to an audio soundscape through headphones.

Abraham's choreography is human-centered and down-to-earth. The topics of his dances invariably involve family and community.

Performances are Friday, Oct. 6 at 8 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 7 at both 2 and 8 p.m. Tickets are $28, $26 students and seniors. 860-685-3355,
