Robert Englund, Christopher Judge, Kate Flannery, Tara Reid and Seth Gilliam are just a handful of the celebrity guests heading to the Premier Ballroom at Foxwoods for the ComiCONN June 30 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., with an afterparty at 10 p.m.; and July 1 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Also part of the pop-culture convention: comic-book creators, cosplay, photo ops, Star Wars Trivia, a kids con and more. Taco Festival

The Connecticut Taco Festival on June 30 at New Milford’s Harrybrooke Park features tacos from restaurants and food trucks, beverages (tequila, beer and margaritas); a taco-eating contest, Lucha Libre Mexican wrestling, live music and kids’ activities. Renaissance Faire

It appears that David Blaine can hold his breath for 17 minutes, exist underground for a week and be encased in a block of ice for three days. Or can he? Seeing is believing.

Master illusionist David Blaine disappears at the Oakdale, 95 S. Turnpike Road, Wallingford, at 8 p.m. June 29. Tibet Fest

The music, food and culture of Tibet come to the Goshen Fairgrounds, 116 Old Middle St., June 30 to July 1 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. both days. Activities include performers, art, dance, hands-on activities, games, and workshops for all ages, including the making of an amazing sand mandala offering. Party With A View

Summer’s Friday-night parties on the Riverview Garage Rooftop at Mohegan Sun kick off June 29 with Parrot Beach and a tribute to Parrot Beach. The 21-plus parties — which feature $3 Bud Lights, specialty cocktails, wine, fire pits, table games, slot machines, food trucks, cornhole and more — run 7 to 11 p.m., and there’s no cover.
