Summer’s nearly over, which means it’s the last chance to check out warm-weather programming around the state.

If you’re in the mood for rock and roll and rhythm and blues then you might want to catch the Tony Award-winning “Memphis” at the Ivorytown Playhouse, 103 Main St., Ivoryton, before it closes Aug. 30 (ivorytonplayhouse.org).

New Haven’s Long Wharf Theatre has shipped in the two-person murder-mystery musical comedy “Murder for Two” from its popular off-Broadway run. That show continues through Aug. 30, too. (longwharf.org)

Ending its run on Sunday, Aug. 23, is John Logan’s “I’ll Eat You Last: A Chat with Sue Mengers,” a gossipy solo show about the famed Hollywood agent, at Hartford’s TheaterWorks. Read review here.
