Nutcracker season is in full swing. The Albano Ballet’s local rendition of the Tchaikovsky classic has been touring around the state, with its celebrated 35-foot-tall glowing tree in tow.
See it at Central Connecticut State University’s Welte Theater, 1615 Stanley St., New Britain for performances on Saturday, Dec. 5, at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 6, at 3 p.m.
From Dec. 11 to 13 you can find Albano’s “Nutcracker” at Mohegan Sun’s Cabaret Theater, 1 Mohegan Sun Blvd., Uncasville, where it’s played every December since 2001. Those shows are Dec. 11 at 7 p.m., Dec. 12 at 2 and 7 p.m.; and Dec. 13 at 1 and 6 p.m. Mohegan Sun tickets are $32 to $38. Call for tickets for Welte performances. Information: albanoballet.org.
