Hartford Art Crawl Features Pop-Up Skate Park, Shopping, Happy Hours

The Hartford Art Crawl, an iConnect entertainment event featuring local artists and vendors, will fill the streets of downtown with art, shopping and a festive atmosphere on Thursday, Sept. 18, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 4 to 9 p.m.

The free crawl will begin at The Spot outside The Pump House in Bushnell Park, where there will be a live DJ, skateboarders on a temporary skate ramp, shopping and more. Additional crawl locations will feature local art work and complimentary food and drinks. Carousel rides will be $1 per ride per person until 9 p.m.

Bounce from shop to shop like Niro, Naturally Dogs and Cats and Hartford Prints! to see galleries from local artists and even walk away with some goodies. Pop-up shopping vendors include A Happy Life, The Brothers Crisp, Cinder and Salt and Hartford Denim Company.
Participanting restaurants like Salute, Vito’s By The Park, M&M Bistro and Trumbull Kitchen will offer extended happy hours through 9 p.m.

The iConnect program, managed by the Marketing, Events and Cultural Affairs Division of Hartford, capitalizes on the city’s creative and commercial talents to inspire artisitc and entrepreneurial start-up businesses to fill the empty spaces downtown.
