Lockridge Iron Works in Alburtis is getting a state historical marker

According to historical accounts:  Lock Ridge Iron Works, Alburtis, the last furnace in the United States to use anthracite coal exclusively as fuel. Its partially restored ruins are some of last remaining evidence of the Lehigh Valley's importance to the iron industry.
