Christina Crawford's (adopted) mom was actress Joan Crawford. In 1978, she wrote a bestselling expose about her turbulent childhood and her adult relationship with her mother called Mommie Dearest. One of the first tell-all celebrity books, it was later made into a movie starring Faye Dunaway in 1981. This Saturday, Crawford comes to the Edgerton Center for a talk called Surviving Mommie Dearest in which she'll introduce her biopic documentary based on a multimedia play she wrote, show some home movies of her and her mother and then field questions from the audience.
