Fox59 #1 in the Morning, #1 Prime News & Growing All Newscasts
Fox59 is once again the #1 morning news to wake up to and #1 primetime news in Central Indiana.  In addition, Fox59 News is the only Central Indiana station that is increasing local news viewership in every news time period - mornings, afternoons/early evenings and late news.

"Our growth in every news time period is unmatched in the Indianapolis market and, arguably, in the entire country ," said Vice President and General Manager Larry Delia.  "Viewers have clearly responded to our commitment to be on the air and available to them far more than our competitors."

More viewers woke up to "Fox59 Morning News" at 4am and 430am than any other local or national newscast in the time periods.  At 5am, "Fox59 Morning News" is up 9%, surpassing WISH in the time period and closing within a tenth of a rating point of WTHR.

For the first time, "Fox59 Morning News" finished #2 at 6am, increasing viewership by 26% and passing WISH in the time period.  This hour of "Fox59 Morning News" is the fastest growing morning newscast on any station and is now less than a single rating point from overtaking WTHR, which lost 9% year-to-year.

From 7-9am, "Fox59 Morning News" grew by 9% year-to year, and "Fox59 Morning News" from 9-10am is up 31% year to year.  Both local newscasts are challenging NBC's "Today" in the time periods.

"Central Indiana viewers have noticed we are different and special," said News Director Lee Rosenthal.  "We are there every morning with the big, breaking news and weather stories, but we also have the best team and best personalities, both on the air and behind the scenes."

"Fox59 News at 10" is once again the #1 primetime newscast and grew audience by 12% year-to-year.  "Fox59 News at 10" more than tripled its competition on WNDY, which lost 28% of its audience.

Fox59 News is the only station growing news viewership in the afternoon and early evening.  "Fox59 News: First at Four" increased by 29%, easily passing WISH's "The Doctors", which declined 31%.  In its first May sweeps period, "Fox59 News: Live at Five" was up 172% from previous programming in the time period.
