Moments after he had finished the 1,600 meters at the Randy Smith Journal Inquirer Invitational, Randy Neish contemplated pulling out of his next event — the 800 meters.

This is a transition year at Glastonbury, where coach Eric Frank is in his first season.

Over the next few days, the Southington boys volleyball team will play Farmington and Glastonbury — the only two teams with whom the Blue Knights played five games this season.

The Farmington boys' lacrosse team is young but has lots of talent. Yet, sitting at 7-4, coach Walter Stefanow knows talent alone won't carry the team in the postseason. There needs to be discipline.

  



FOX CT Student News, FSN, is a nationally recognized student-centered program designed to give students real-world experiences in multimedia journalism and production.

The program is part of WTIC's long term commitment to promote excellence in education for all children and youth and is free of charge to Connecticut Middle and High Schools.

FSN is an in-depth comprehensive program that is directly involved with schools. Student teams consisting of reporter, producer, editors and videographers produce multimedia news reports.

These reports feature stories and events that are of interest to students or have an impact on them.
