Joe FureyJoe Furey, is the Director of New England Weather Service and Chief Meteorologist for WTIC News/Talk 1080 and the FOX Connecticut Morning News.
He joins an all-star team including co-anchors Logan Byrnes and Erika Arias, and traffic expert Rachel Lutzker. This will expand his presence in Connecticut thanks to a broad-ranging agreement between Fox CT and WTIC News/Talk 1080.
The partnership will showcase Furey's 18 years of experience delivering accurate, detailed weather forecasts for Connecticut. Furey will continue to provide weather reports for WTIC News/Talk 1080, 96.5 TIC-FM, Lite 100.5 WRCH and 97.3 WZBG.
Years ago Joe Furey helped establish Fox 61's tradition of clear, concise weather reports. Joe's forecasts have always emphasized the information that people need to plan their activities rather than hype and fear.
Prior to WTIC News/Talk 1080, Furey's twenty-year career in weather included teaching at Western Connecticut State University, University of Hartford, and Talcott Mountain Science Center in Avon, and TV meteorologist for Fox CT, WFSB Channel 3 and News 12 Connecticut.
