POSITION: Associate Producer/ News Writer

ROLE: Write and help produce a creative, non-stop 4pm newscast using all the resources the brand new full HD FOX CT studios have to offer. Be a trendsetter, join Connecticut's newsroom with all the resources of tv, online and print.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Write copy for early and late evening newscasts
- Fill in producing when necessary
- Help determine story selection and stacking
- Coordinate editing of stories and special projects
- Print scripts
- Select sound bites and video for use in news stories
- Research and generate stories
- Read newspapers daily
- Suggest news stories daily
- Perform other job related duties as assigned
- Ability to write clear, compelling broadcast copy
- Previous experience as a broadcast news writer
- Ability to remain calm under deadline pressure
- Bachelor's Degree in Journalism preferred
- Good attitude and team player
