POSITION: Sales Recruiter

REPORTS TO: Director, HR-Integrated Media

ROLE: Using a variety of sourcing methods, find top talent candidates for sales positions throughout Tribune Company.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Creates and cultivates relationships with high potential sales candidates for purposes of building the reputation of the company and make job candidates aware of unique opportunities within Tribune Advertising
  • Develops, coordinates and maintains a relational database and pipeline of high potential candidates for Advertising sales. Uses/creates systems as appropriate to track and report the results of efforts.
  • Interviews and creates qualified leads for the HR Consultants hiring sales personnel
  • Recommends communication and advertising strategies that will produce maximum leads for sales job openings
  • Acts as a company-wide resource for mining sales talent
  • Identifies long term recruiting strategies which integrates a variety of resources including job fairs, college/university job fairs, digital media, social media, etc. for the purpose of sourcing, image awareness, and networking
  • Has expertise in recruiting using digital and interactive resources. Uses internal and external resume databases, web-based sourcing, social networks, and other innovative methods to find the best qualified candidates
  • Works with other sourcing colleagues to identify and share best practices


REQUIREMENTS
  • College degree or equivalent related experience
  • 3 – 5 years recruiting/sourcing experience
  • Must have broad based understanding of employment law, interview skills, marketing, databases and social networks
  • Past experience working in a sales capacity
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, sound judgment, and ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
  • Works with members of civic, chamber, trade and professional communities, internet companies, contractors and general public to plan, develop and implement targeted recruitment strategies and programs for effective filling of open sales positions
  • Ability to effectively interface with employees at all levels within the organization

  • Has dotted line reporting relationship with the onsite HR Director or designated HR Manager
  • Dotted line relationship to a functional manager who also manages the other sales recruiters
